My post will be regarding some Al-Quran versus and quotes.

That I find really help me in facing this tough and challenging world.

They motivate me, and make me think.

And I just want to share them with you readers.

Hopefully you'll find them assisting you in any difficult circumstances.

Some will be in bahasa and some will be in English.=)

Versus

I just read another remarkable masterpiece from Hlovate.Yes, versus is the title.It's about the battle. The hardest battle is when you're against yourself. A versus through and through. By all the senses and meanings of the world. It's about the journey of a girl~Minn Edina or was known as Ed'Sassin of Wrath. Fate lead her to meet AO or Asyraff Omar as her mentee for a mini project.

The transformation from Ed'Sassin to Minn really fascinate me. I'd love to pick a quote in the novel "you'll never reach perfection because there's always room for improvement. Yet all the way to perfection, you'll learn to get better". And how AO changed to Asyraff impressed me too.I realize, to make that kind of transformation or hijrah requires a lot of sacrifices. I always pray to Allah. Give me the courage to change myself towards a better person.Aamin..

What I love about this story is, the bonding between Minn and her siblings~ Ked and Che'E. Ked is her eldest brother while Che'E is her little sister. Ked which she called Along is a really cool and sporting brother I must say. He is so protective and understanding too. Minn can share almost anything with him. As they have the same interest in skateboarding, they always discuss which trick that they like, which professional skateboarder that they love. The scene when Hlovate describe the three siblings are watching the skateboarding tournament together, is really close to me.I crack a smile while reading this very part. I've always longing to have that kind of brother. But since I am the eldest, I'm the one that should play a role as the cool Along for my beloved siblings.=)

Another sweet part in this story is when Minn has already became AO's wife.One day, AO asked his beloved wife to go skateboarding with him. They went out at dawn. How romantic! They are free to do anything.Playing, joking around. Ao even hugs his wife from the back. After all, they are married couple. My mind started to picture, how happy it is to share that kind of moment with your loved ones..hmm..=)

There's nothing more I can say. I just love Hlovate's work.Full of great messages.Inspire me and make me look at the life from a different perception. Kudos to Hlovate! You've done a splendid job!*winking*

Kasihnya abah

abah and me

Pa habaq semua?? Cewah..macam ramai ja dok baca blog hang tikah.hahaha..

Tu dia..lama tak menulih dalam blog nih. Rindu aih nak mencontiang (menconteng) serba- sikit.

Ada sebab pasai pa post kali ni dalam loghat utara.Haa..pasai pa?cuba pakat pikiaq sat.

La..hangpa ni..cuba kalih sikit mata tengok ataih tu..tajuk post pun dah " Kasihnya abah". Mestila nak crita pasai abah terchenta..Nak jadikan cerita, abah saya ni, orang utagha..Lama dah dok Pahang, tapi loghat utara dia memang piau lagi.Tak buleh buang la orang kata. Pasai tu turun kat anak dia.hehehe...

Ni nak habaq mai, birthday abah saya ni, jatuh 3 hari sebelum hari bapa. Taw dak hari bapa brapa hari bulan ni..? Mesti tak taw ni.. 19 hb jun.. Pasai tula saya tulih post ni tarikh ni. Orang kampung saya kata special la sikit..hee.. 16hb baru ni, masa birthday abah, awai2 lagi saya dah wish birthday dia. Mangkit (bangun) tidoq,celik-celik mata terus wish..Tu dia..baguihnya..anak sapa la ni. Mestila anak Pak Cik Zainol..hehehe..=p

Lepaih tu, pening pala dok pikiaq hadiah apa la nak bagi abah ni. Pikiaq punya pikiaq, dapat idea nak beli kemeja. Jalan punya jalan kat area Shah Alam, boleh tak jumpa hat yang berkenan. (Sebenaqnya jumpa, harga pulak mahai..kihkih) Budget punya pasai, pi la beli perfume kat abah. Jangan main-main. Jenama Hugo Boss hangpa taw dak. Tapi sengap-sengap la..hat yang one drop ja..inspired by Hugo Boss..Ha..kan dah kena!hehehe...Jangan la dok wat muka cengih (garang) pulak.Saja bergurau..=p

Balik-balik ghumah, excited ni, teruih bagi abah. Tapi, abah saya ni, kurang ekspresi sikitBoleh dia kata"La..abah bukan pakai pun perfume-perfume ni.."hehehe.Saya taw, dalam hati dia suka, tapi tak taw nak tunjuk lagu mana.ehehe..Okla, dahla dok crita pasai hadiah ni. Sebnaqnya, yang saya nak kongsi ngan hangpa, pasai abah saya ni. Dia ni, kalau kawan-kawan saya first time jumpa, otomatik kata garang. Pasai dia ni polih..Memang muka kena nampak garang. Betui tak? Tak semestinya..Abah saya sebnaqnya klakaq.Dia ni, cukup suka kalau orang mai ghumah.Macam-macam la makanan dia beli.Sampai tak larat nak bangun la .orang kata kenyang tak sangka.

Abah memang cukup tak berkira. Masa raya, tuk anak menakan (anak buah) memang dia tak miss bagi duit raya dalam amout yang boleh dikatakan banyak la jugak.Raya kat ghumah pun sama. Tu yang budak-budak taman, kalau raya, suka mai ghumah saya. Pasai depa taw, mesti tak balik dengan tangan kosong punya..hehe..Jangan kata raya, kalau balik kampung bukan time raya pun abis anak menakan dia dapat duit.Ha tu dia..

Ingat lagi, masa zaman-zaman sekolah rendah dulu, abah la yang dok pi hantaq saya pi mai pi mai sekolah.Hantaq pi tusyen la..Mrempit la sat dengan abah.hehe..Masa saya kecik, memang nakai.Besala, budak-budak.. Selalu la kena jerkah (marah) dengan abah." Tikah...hang pi tukaq baju la ni jugak. Balik sekolah lama dah.Tak mandi-mandi lagi" macam tu la lebih kurang masa kecik-kecik dulu.Memang abah kuat bletiaq (membebel) .Besela, anak dia yang sorang ni kan 'baik' sangat..hehehe..

Kalau nak cerita pasai pengorbanan abah, memang dok karang dalam ni tak abih-abih. Walaupun abah tak pernah kata"Tikah, abah sayang kat hang dengan adik-adik yang lain" Tapi saya taw abah memang sayangkan kami semua.Tiap-tiap tahun ada ja tempat kami jalan.Pi Langkawi la, Melaka la..Terengganu la..Setakat ni dalam negara lagi la.Dah, ajak abah pi luaq negara, dia bukan mau..Takpa la..yang penting, we spent time together kan abah. The destination, is not really matter.Rasa bertuah sangat.Kadang-kadang, dok dengaq crita dari kawan-kawan lain.Depa takda pun berjalan sakan serupa kami..Alhamdulillah, dengan apa yang Allah kurniakan.

Batu Keras

Batu Keras??? Okay, I'm trying to make a stupid joke here. And please laugh. Haha..Atikah, that's is so ridiculous.=p

Okay, now back to the topic. I'm in the intersession period right now. And the very first assignment I was assigned by my lecturer was going to the Hard Rock Cafe.When my lecturer mentioned about the task at the beginning, the whole classes were like.Huh??? Nice one sir. Going to Hard rock Cafe as part of the assignment?Yeah, right..

Then, with a very serious face he said."No, I'm not joking around. You guys are going to Hard Rock Cafe. And I want you present your task this Monday". " I want you to make some research about that really successful operating management business". He added. Yeah, I forgot to tell ya I took operation management subject for the short semester.

The next thing, me and four of my friends were heading to KL . Luckily, one of my group member bring his car along to Shah Alam.or else we've got to rent a car. As we were entering the business premise, we were entertained by one of the waiter there called 'Herman'. He was a cool person. Without even asking him the questions that we were ready to ask him, he started talking and sharing all the things that we need to know about Hard Rock Cafe.

He said Kuala Lumpur Hard Rock Cafe has been operated 20 years in KL. He even share with us his working experiences. How pack it is at the weekends. We took just an hour to gain all the infos that we need. Then, at 6pm we were saying goodbye to him. And we manage to snap a few photos there. (A few mean just 20-40 photos) hehe..As a proof we were really doing our task. Not just Google it on the internet.hee..=p Google it? haha..Whatever..

Then, we went to Pavilion to dine. I was dying to watch Nur Kasih there. But, the thing is, my friends didn't really into that type of movie. They want to watch Pirates of The Caribbean. Somehow, maybe I was good in persuading people . haha..=p They finally agreed to watch Nur Kasih.. Yahoo..!! I won!! Unfortunately, the ticket was sold out..!! How sad..But,nah. I'm so going to watch it soon..hahaha..( with a wicked laugh)

Owh, I'm getting tired and sleepier.. I better be sleep this very instant. >> I need took wake up early tomorrow. Back to the University of course..Wuarghh..(Yawning)

Campbell's soup for sahur??

Good day!!

Owh, it's 1.54a.m and I still haven't go to bed??

What am I thinking??hahaha.. I'm thinking too eat Campbell's soup after this!(for a sahur) wuhhu..!

I'm not sleepy yet.I just watched Nanny McPhee with my brota n sista.

It's a good movie. One of my fav. It never fails to make me laugh-out-loud through out the movie. What a fun movie to enjoy! I found it fascinating how Nanny McPhee got prettier as the movie progressed and spent a great deal of time discussing it with my siblings which of her features had changed, when and why.The movies have lots of great lessons too. *wink2*

Yeah, back to the Campbell's soup thingy. I actually planned to ganti my puasa tomorrow. What we call it in English anyway?whatever..hehe..But the thing is I can't find any other yummy food to eat in my fridge. Yeah, there's eggs waiting for me to pick 'em.." cook us..cook us.."Sorry for the highly imagining things..This is soo..me..haha..=p But, you know, I am so darn hardworking at this very kind of hour.ahaks!

Talk about ' the ganti puasa' again..I've 4 more days left.Thank you to my act of procrastination. Yeah know, it is not a good practiced. I don't want to end up to ganti my puasa at the "emergency hour".That's the time when Ramadhan is just around the corner and ya still have several more days to ganti your puasa.hehe..The best way is, just straight away ganti puasa during the Syawal month.(Puasa 6) You'll get the bonus rewards and at the same time you don't have to worry to ganti it the next time aite?=p

So, I, hereby promised to myself to not repeating the act of procrastination again. And this should be applied in any tasks that I was assigned. Peace..^_^..O my.I'm the only one who is still awake in this house.I better stop now. I can already smell the Campbell's soup..

Book Review:Highly Recommended by Atikah Zainol

Contengan Jalanan by Hlovate

One book, 2 stories.

This is a book like no other. It touches my heart. I can guarantee this book will instantly make you fall in love with its story too. It's not like the typical Malay novel that brings the love theme between a man and a woman (Mind you, not that I completely condemned this kind of theme ). Somehow, I really am searching for a book that can inspire me and at the same time provided me with a nice storyline.*wink2* and here it is.. Contengan Jalanan..

Fend

Fender~ Fend & Fender

The earlier part of the story, tells the reader about Fend or his real name Affendy. He's a guy with so much passion in arts. With his jamming buddies (which they called "creepy hues")~Fend,K2, Paan, Azad and Erdi, he feels his life is way too good. He feels incomplete without his guitar, camera, Dell, HTC and Ipod. He is confident that his life is perfect.

For him, art & music.

That's life.

But his life changed 180 degrees when he met a girl named Amalia, or Lia at the X-Games Tournament.( Mind you, you are far from right if you assume that this story will be revolving around the cliche love story). Lia manage to grab Fend's attention as she is no ordinary girl.

Fend's life changed when he met Lia by coincidence, and she gave him one CD, with a tagline" the man who decided to change on the 12th hour dies on the 11th". The words then keep repeating over and over again inside his head. It makes him think:

You still got a lot of life ahead of you, man. Don't waste it doing the wrong things. And what's worse is ended up doing the wrong thing.

The story gets better and better when Irsyad or Chad ~Fend's cousin asked him to go backpacking to Sydney, Australia. Here, they go for a masjid-hopping. Sounds cool enough right?=) In Sydney, Fend and Chad learnt a lot of things that they never imagine they going to acquire. As they went there, in the fasting month, I can really feel their excitement in fulfilling their duties and at the same time travelling. Then, they stop at one of the mosque there ~ Punchbowl Mosque and stay there until their break ends. (iktikaf)

Reciting the Quran, learn about the hadiths, perform solat berjemaah ,solat sunat and qiamullail. How awesome! The author describe it so well till I feel how great it is to embark the exactly same journey and adventure as Fend and Chad has gone through. At punchbowl mosque, they met several great men. I don't know why, but I can truly understand how close and good their relations are.

Owh, forgive me. This is just my book review. I got carried away. I do feel like complimenting and analysing every chapter of the splendid novel. Hehe..You must read it yourself to know what exactly happen after this that makes my tears roll down my cheeks. (Yeah2..I am that sensitive)

K2

This 2nd story has merely the same impact just like the 1st story did to me. It's about Fend best friend, K2 or Ku Kamaruzzaman's journey to learn the true meaning of life. At the beginning, Fend gives the CD that Lia gave him with a hope, K2 will realize. With a little hope K2 will no longer believes in " There's no such thing as 'wrong' in arts. You will figure it out later how K2 changes that phrase into " There's no such thing as ' wrong' in arts provided that Islam is a given".

Somehow, Fend realized " Hati tu Allah yang pegang, bukannya orang. Hidayah dan petunjuk tu memang hanya Allah yang bagi. Benda dan perkara yang sama tak semestinya memberikan kesan yang sama juga kepada penerima yang berbeza"

At this second part of the book, the author leaves plenty of Al-Quran verses and quotes that I feel really beneficial and affected me a lot. To highlight a few:

Life is full of changes. And surprises. And the inexplicable(s)

To live is to learn, and to learn is to live. Live. Learn.

That Allah may forgive you your sins of the past and the future, and complete His favour on you, and guide you on the Straight Path~( al- Fath:2)

See you not how Allah sets forth a parable? A goodly word as goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky ( i.e very high)~(Ibrahim:24)

The storyline gets exciting and enthralling when K2 when to Jakarta, Indonesia. Here, he founds the real meaning of life. Want to know what is the incident that changed his mind and perspectives?, owning this book is a must. Without any hesitation, I rated this book with 5 stars!

Yahoo..!My visit to Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair was worth it as I managed to buy this spectacular book! Actually, I was hoping to meet the author ~Hlovate~her (I think) personally. Her identity was anonymous.Still a mystery.. She's the one who requested it. She need her own privacy. I understand and fully respect it. But deep in my heart, I wish I can meet her. I really admire her writing and I want to thank her for creating " Contengan Jalanan ".

Fuh, tajuk cukup ilmiah..hehehe.. Aku sebenarnya ternampak billboard

Dekat area bangsar tak silap.

Jadi aku terus terpikir nak letak tajuk post

kali ni dengan nama ni.Bunyi memang agak ilmiah.

Tapi memang ada kena mengena dengan apa yang aku nak

cerita ni.hehe..

Meet Liyana.Di satu malam yang hening, gadis bernama Atikah Zainol telah datang
mengetuk bilik member nya yang sedang nyenyak tidur. (pukul 12.30 malam masa tu) Lepas tu, tak semena-mena

terjadi lah satu plan.Mula2 nak tunggu 1hb, tapi disebabkan kitorang dah tak sabar2 sangat nak pergi

pesta buku tu, maka hikayatnya...28hb kitorang dengan semangatnya, pergi KL.
Semangat, pukul 7.30 pagi ok dah gerak dari Shah Alam.kekeke...

Disebabkan tyme kitorang pergi ni awal sangat, memang jawabnya tak ramai lah kan.

Dapatlah aku snap gambar sini sana tanpa rasa segan. Eceh..hahaha..

Tengok, sempat pulak snap gambar masjid India.Brilliant kan*wink2*

Posing gaya model buku sikit...Hahaha..=p. Sesampainya kat PWTC tu, kitorang terus

masuk tempat karangkraf. Memandangkan kawan aku, nani yang tak dapat

nak join kitorang ada discussion dengan lecturer nya.Maka aku dengan baik hati

tolong belikan novel2 untuk dia.Eceh..Sila abaikan gaya bahasa Atikah Zainol ni.

Yes! Dapat jugak aku beli Hlovate yang terbaru.Berbaloi datang pesta buku ni.Weeee...Gumbira...^_^

I want to buy this book sooo badly..nantila, tyme ada duit.Konpem terus beli.=p

Ha..tyme ni manusia dah start membanjiri PWTC neh.

Cantek kan. Novel ni dorang hias ala2 hantaran gitu.Kreatif2..I like..^_^

Lepas dapat semua buku yang kitorang nak, kitorang terus keluar dari PWTC tu. Memang tak larat. Sesak tahap tak ingat.

Pukl 12.3o tengah hari, kitorang dah gerak balik. Disebabkan penat melampau, dua2 tertidur dalam rapid.Haha.. Sampai Shah Alam

dalam pukul 3.30 petang.
